Do you think that you can be a good mentor? Do you need a good mentor? Do you want 6 hours of professional responsibility CLE credits? On June 13, 2011, Honorable Thomas L. Kilbride, Chief Justice of the Illinois Supreme Court, was in Peoria to make the inaugural announcement of the availability of the lawyer-to-lawyer mentoring program. The PCBA Board has approved the implementation of the lawyer-to-lawyer mentoring program for its members. This is a voluntary one-year program available for new lawyers admitted to practice in Illinois no more than 2 years prior to beginning the program and mentor lawyers admitted to the practice in Illinois not less than 6 years. If you meet the qualifications of a new lawyer or a mentor as outlined in Supreme  Court Rule 795(d)(12), please complete the online registration for new lawyer or mentor found above.  Online registration to participate in the mentoring program should be submitted for 2013-2014 year program by July 1, 2013. Upon full completion of the one-year program, the lawyers will receive a total of 6 hours of professional responsibility CLE credit. Please note, not all mentors will be paired with new lawyers if the number of mentors exceeds the number of new lawyers.
