Do you want to be a mentor?
Do you need a mentor?
If yes, we hope that you will apply to participate in the Women’s Bar Association of Illinois lawyer-to-lawyer mentoring program that we are sponsoring in partnership with the Illinois Supreme Court Commission on Professionalism.
Experienced attorneys (six or more years) will be matched with newly licensed attorneys for a year-long mentoring program. Both mentors and mentees will receive six professional responsibility CLE credits upon successful program completion.
This lawyer mentoring program creates opportunities for experienced lawyers to guide new lawyers in developing the practical skills and judgment to practice in a highly competent manner and to instill the ethical and professional values that characterize excellent lawyers.
We will be accepting new applications beginning in November for the upcoming 2017 Mentoring Program. Be sure to check back then.
For further information, please contact Julia Williams by email or phone 312-508-3376.
Application does not guarantee placement in the WBAI’s L2L Mentoring Program. Participants in the WBAI mentoring program must be and continue active membership with the WBAI. If selected to participate in the WBAI’s L2L Mentoring Program you must attend the Program Orientation. The WBAI’s L2L Mentoring Program is a program separate from the WBAI’s Mentor/Mentee Program. WBAI members that do not meet the requirements of our L2L Mentoring Program are encouraged to participate in the upcoming WBAI’s Mentor/Mentee Program.
